In this message from Mark chapter 8-9, Pastor Kelvin Smith unpacks two verses that have caused confusion for many readers — Jesus' promise that some standing there would not taste death until they saw the kingdom of God come with power — and walks through the historical fulfillment of that promise in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Pastor Kelvin also takes us through the Transfiguration, where Peter, James, and John witness Jesus transformed in radiant glory alongside Moses and Elijah, and hear the Father's voice declare, "This is my beloved Son. Listen to him." It's a message about trusting that Jesus' words are true, understanding Scripture in its original context, and learning to truly listen to and obey Christ in every season of life.
